"Leading ulema Maulana Kalbe Sadiq, vice-president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and considered to be an authority on Islamic literature, is a globe-trotter and in constant touch with top Muslim clerics around the world. All of them agree, he said in an interview given to The Pioneer last week, that the Taliban have "disgraced Islam". "Taliban’s activities are anti-Islamic. It’s not a matter of Shia or Sunni. What the Taliban are doing is against the basic principles of Islam." It is for the first time that leading ulema is bluntly criticizing the Taliban. Islamic clerics in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Oman and even in south east Asia, in Iran and Turkmenistan, are against the Taliban, Maulana Sadiq said. "It’s only a handful of fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan who are backing Taliban for their own interests", he said. Pakistan’s junta government may hope that Taliban could help them to reach the oil fields in Central Asia, but even in Pakistan the majority is against Taliban. "The Taliban militia is bound to collapse", Sadique said, "It’s a matter of time".
**If you substitute the words "Radical Christian groups" for "Taliban" in this quote, you'll find that you have been saying the same thing as Mr. Sadiq.

good post, I am glad some clerics are starting to make a more public stand, instead of letting the West cop what they sewed in a way, which was understandable, however, it served them no good purpose, as it allowed the hawks (read western right wing political psychopaths) to attack the Muslim world without restraint.
Anyhoo, I am proud to say I wrote to a Melbourne newspaper many years ago on this very topic, specifically the Bali bombers, and said, the clerics there should be asked to condemn their actions, and to say they are not going to 'heaven with vestal virgins', but to hell!!
By the way, what is it with the virgin thing? I mean, once they get to heaven won't they find out the virgins remain virgins??

Baiting or trolling has nothing to with logic or rational thought. It is more to with tying to emotionally exhaust and opponent.
It works this was.

You say down.
I say your are ignorant.
You say you are ignoranter than me.
What ever I say, you just say the opposite until frustration sets in.
The point of the game is a power struggle based upon the one who gets frustrated first.
